So how does one write one of these things...I am 29 year old single father of the most beautiful little girl in the whole world. Her name is Anna and she is 1. I am also a professional chef and have been the majority of my adult life. I've just returned to the United States, Boston actually, from a six month hiatus in France where I was exploring my culinary roots and getting paid for it. Now that my daughter and I have returned to the US, we are setting up house and home with my partner in the kitchen Emilie who will at one point in the future become my full time partner in life.

She and I are currently in the process of setting up a new restaurant with the most outstanding and generous man. Those details will unfold as they take place and the restaurant should be officially open sometime in 2007!

I do have a prostethetic leg which does not hinder me at all anymore. I lost my leg in one of those literally fluke accidents that no one ever expects to happen. But between the loss of my leg, my daughter, my soul searching and Emilie, I have found myself in a wonderful place. I am recovering from loss and pain in my life only to discover a bright new future. I've got a wonderful family and a few wonderful friends, some old, some new, and some renewed, but I'm happy. I've also just rediscovered my faith recently and have realized that I need God in my life to help me through the tough times.

And this journal is my written word along the way in my journey through this, which is my life.
